Building on a lifetime of experience...
One of his first jobs was as an auto mechanic before joining Texas Instruments. Lewis worked in Manufacturing Engineering, on such crucial projects as the early gunships and Stealth Fighter night vision systems, retiring after 28 years of distinguished service in 1993.
He's had a production Trailer Shop, designing, fabricating and repairing trailers for over 30 years.
Early products included designing and building motorcycle trailers, boat trailers, and finally trailers for a canoe dealer in Garland, Texas. He graduated to building race car trailers, both flat beds and enclosed. At one time, he had two world champions race car drivers using his double-decker enclosed trailers, Jimmy Lewis and Damon Dabbs.
His company, Irvine Specialties, has shipped race car trailers to Hawaii, Alaska, South America, Mexico, England, Canada, Nova Scotia and all over the United States for the Racer and Show Car enthusiast.
